Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it. In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results. Unplug your headphones and see if that helps. It's possible that your speakers won't work when your headphones are plugged in. Try connecting your speaker and headphones to a different USB port. Remember some speakers and apps have their own volume controls. Make sure the mute setting is not turned on, and try turning up all the volume controls. Make sure the power is turned on and check the volume level. Note: Some systems use a green jack for output and pink for mic input and others will be labeled 'headphone' or 'microphone.' If it’s not clear which jack goes with which cord, consult your hardware manufacturer, or try the most obvious outputs one at a time and see if they work.
